Characters

Last updated: 2026-02-11

Characters (worms) in mewdle.io have different playstyles. Some are built for quick duels, some hold space well, and some snowball through clean farming. Skill inputs vary: tap (instant), aim (pick a direction/point), or passive.

Note: balance numbers and exact durations may change over time. For the basics, see How to play and Guides.

Shadow lineup

Viper
Spin-blender brawler that knocks foes back.
Skill: Crimson Blender (tap, ~1s) — Spin to vacuum food and knock back enemies.
Best for: quick engages, tight turns, aggressive duels.
Eel
Overcharged sprinter with a shock field.
Skill: Overdrive Field (tap, ~4s) — Speed burst + electric field; touching it briefly jams steering.
Best for: chasing, forcing mistakes, high tempo fights.
Venom
Toxic trail specialist that seals off space.
Skill: Toxic Trail (passive) — Boosting leaves skull venom gas; food inside is tainted (Venom 2x, enemies -1).
Best for: area denial, controlling choke points, punishing greedy farmers.
Siren
High-speed disruptor that interferes with nearby steering.
Skill: Sonic Pulse (tap, ~1.2s) — Pulse makes enemies turn sluggish and drains boost faster.
Best for: disrupting clusters, peeling for yourself, winning messy fights.
Cinder
Overheat to surge forward, trading length for momentum.
Skill: Overheat (passive) — Boosting ignites flame; burns enemies but drains length.
Best for: constant pressure, forcing space, high-risk dives.
Wasp
Needle dash that steals score when it connects.
Skill: Sting Strike (aim, ~1s) — Dash and become invulnerable; on hit, steal score and disrupt turning.
Best for: punishing oversized targets, quick picks, high execution plays.

Iron lineup

Bulwark
Frontline wall that shrugs off collisions and controls space.
Passive: Impact Bracing — Built to hold ground in close-quarters chaos.
Skill: Bastion Guard (tap, ~2s) — Brace up; collisions shove enemies away instead of popping you.

Crushing bruiser that turns nearby fights into a slow grind.
Passive: Stonehide — Hard to move, hard to punish.
Skill: Mire Aura (tap, ~2.5s) — Mire slows enemy movement and turning nearby.
Harpoon
Heavy control pick that yanks targets into bad positions.

Skill: Singularity (aim, ~5s) — Place a black hole that pulls in food, then collapses into a mega orb.
Plasma
Charge then snipe with a plasma ray.
Skill: Plasma Ray (tap, ~5.6s) — Charge then fire a ray (length burn over time).
Best for: punishing straight lines, zoning a lane, high-skill picks.
Chrono
Rewind your path to escape.

Skill: Mirror Army (tap, ~10s) — Spawn clones that mimic motion and wander.
Best for: confusion, map control, chaotic brawls.
Void
Blink to a hotspot and feast.

Best for: farming spikes, hit-and-run, greedy scaling.

Orbiting satellites vacuum food into your maw.
Passive: Star Sense — Designed to farm fast and rotate out safely.
Skill: Satellite Sweep (tap, ~3s) — Satellites pull food aggressively into your head.
Spore
Economy · Bait — Shed biomass to spawn a rich spore cluster anyone can contest.
Passive: Bloom Economy — Great at converting space control into growth.
Skill: Spore Bloom (tap, ~0.7s) — Drop a cluster of food at a cost. Risk it, then harvest it.
